Giorgio has been working at Mediobanca Spa since 2002 and has been serving as Head of the short-term desk since 2009, after joining it as a proprietary trader in 2007. Over time, as regulatory requirements and the banking group’s structure evolved, the desk expanded its mandate to extend to short-term funding, with Giorgio and his team overseeing activities across both secured and unsecured money markets, including commercial paper, time deposits, and repos as key liquidity management instruments and as tools to optimize the cost-efficiency of short-term liquidity.
