Mikael Stenström

Senior Adviser, Sveriges Riksbank

Mikael Stenström is Senior Adviser to Sveriges Riksbank and former Head of Legislation at the European Central Bank.

Mikael previously worked for the European Monetary Institute and law firms in London and New York, as well as the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, Finansinspektionen. Mikael is a graduate from Harvard Law School (LL.M.) and Lund University, Sweden (jur. kand.) and has obtained professional legal qualifications in Sweden (Advokat; membership withdrawn for position with EMI), England & Wales (Solicitor) and New York (Attorney-at-Law). Mikael is author of several publications on legal aspects of the euro, the ECB and the Eurosystem.
